It’s carers week and this year the focus is on looking at ways to support carers to stay healthy and connected.
Caring can be a hugely rewarding experience, enriching relationships and bringing satisfaction and wellbeing. However, caring for others often comes at a cost to carers’ own health and wellbeing as they put their own health needs to the back of the queue. It has been reported that 51% of carers let a health problem go untreated.
If you are a carer for someone let your practice know so they can help look after your health needs by inviting you for health checks or helping you with the best appointment times for those that struggle to attend due to your caring responsibilities.
