Online appointment booking
We offer on-line appointment booking so you can make, check or cancel appointments 24/7, from your PC/tablet or phone. Before you can use these services you must first register online and to register you will need a registration form issued by the Practice to you in person. If you now have your registration form, or have used the service before, simply click here.
Telephone advice
If you need advice please phone the surgery. Please note that patients may be put down for a telephone call with the Advanced Practitioners who have taken over the triage to help the GP’s. They may help over the phone by giving advice, prescribing medications, booking appointments with the GP or nurse or asking the patient to come and see the Advanced Nurse Practitioner themselves depending on the problem.
Consultation times
We offer pre-booked appointments, AM & PM, between 8:00am and 6:30pm from Monday to Friday except Tuesdays when we open at 7.30am. Please note that appointments after 6.00pm are for emergencies only.
Between the hours of 11.30am and 3.00pm the GP’s are on home visits so there are no appointments available during these times.
Appointments can be made by telephone or in person, between 8:00am and 6:30pm. Online appointment booking is of course available 24/7.
Cancellations
There are times when you may decide you don’t need to see the Doctor after all. Perhaps a problem has cropped up at short notice and you can’t attend. Whatever the reason, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let us know and we can offer your appointment to someone else. Ring the main surgery number, cancel online or use our 24hr Cancellation Hotline on 01270 376888.
Home visits
The Medical Centre has all the facilities needed for examination, investigation and treatment. It is in your best interests to attend the surgery if at all possible. Housebound patients should request visits before 10:30am. Home visit and urgent requests may be handled by a doctor or triage nurse to assess the priority of the case and decide the best course of action. This could include advice only, attending an emergency surgery or a home visit.
